About Camilo
I hold a B.A in language teaching. I am a hard-working, enthusiast and methodical driven individual with more than 13 years´experience in the language teaching field. I have taught at different levels and worked with different populations including kids, teenagers, young adults and adults. I have also worked as an official speaking examiner, supervisor and invigilator for the YLE, KET, PET and BEC Cambridge examinations in Bogotá and all around Colombia. In addition, I have experience in ELT project coordination and management.

My teaching method is mainly communicative. I consider connecting what students are learning with their real context is always fruitful. They always remember easily what they connect to familiar or close contexts. I also consider it´s key to learn the formality of the language you´re learning. It means there needs to be an approach to the syntax of the language students are learning. I like to make this approach deductively, so my students are not bored by learning a set of isolated rules. I also like to keep my sessions fun, so I give my best to attract my students attention by making the lessons meaningful to them.
