Donna is a very experienced and dependable educator who has been tutoring my two sons for 4 years now. She taught both boys together in a weekly 2-hour class session for 3 years, and now that my oldest is in university, she continues to work with my youngest, who is in grade 12. She was able to build a positive relationship with my sons to strengthen their English and Socials knowledge, and academic research and writing skills. She uses texts in poetry, literature, novels, documentaries, and current events. She provides them with open ideas, structure, and then the proper writing tools needed to guide them through school assignments and academic writing practices such as study topics, strong paragraphs, and full essays. Donna has a way of breaking down subjects and instructions into easier tasks that my boys have been able to understand, feel more confident about, accomplish on their own, and then learn from her constructive feedback.
