About Mimi

As a math tutor, I bring a strong foundation of advanced mathematical knowledge and experience. I took AP Statistics as a junior high schooler, being the only one in a senior class, and I've pursued advanced math every year of high school and College. In eighth grade, I tackled high school math, and in my senior year of high school, I skipped Calculus 1 to take and excel in Calculus 2. Currently, as one of the few younger students in my math classes, I've studied and excelled in Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. My active participation in the math club and my ability to apply mathematical concepts across subjects like chemistry, physics, and engineering further demonstrate my comprehensive and practical understanding of math. Currently, I spend my time studying as a Mechanical Engineering student and tutoring peers at my college.

About the lesson

Math is such an extraordinary, yet difficult, subject. My experience with math ranges from Basic elementary algebra to AP Statistics and Calculus, all the way to Linear Algebra/Differential Equations. I plan to reeducate the students mind and drilling mathematics into it (as fun and simple as possible.) By allowing the student to repeatedly make mistake and correct them gives an opportunity for both of us to assess and eliminate the problem, creating a perfect math genius. In order for success, a student must constantly solve problems, and with my experience and experience of tutoring K-College students, I'm sure that I can help no matter the issue. Practice is what makes perfect!

Hi! Mimi is a high school friend of mine. She has helped me through subjects like English, Math, and Chemistry both in high school and college. She is very passionate about the subjects she teaches and went out of her way to explain topics to me with great detail and background info, filling in the gaps so I can fully understand the concepts. She has also shown me tools, websites, and YouTube videos that would help me with concepts I didn’t fully understand and just to keep in the back of my head for future reference so I would always have something and someone to fall back on. There have been many times where she has saved me from struggling on my own. One specific time is when we were in different colleges and I had an assignment due that night, but I couldn’t understand the material enough to even start the assignment. She made time for me and we FaceTimed while she explained concepts, equations, and why things work the way they do so I could get the full picture of what I am solving for and why I am solving for in that chemical equation/formula.
