About Jay
I’m a Business Management graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring, and I’ve spent my career working in real business environments where communication, organisation, and problem-solving are essential. My experience ranges from managing clients and delivering high-value projects to guiding teams and creating detailed proposals — work that’s helped me develop a calm, structured approach to teaching. I’ve always been someone who people turn to for support, guidance, and clarity. My coaching background allows me to help students build confidence, stay motivated, and understand how to learn effectively, while my business experience means I can explain concepts in a practical, real-world way. Whether a student needs academic support, help with mindset and study habits, or someone to guide them through challenging topics, I tailor my sessions to their level and learning style. I now combine both sides of my experience — academic knowledge and real business practice — to provide remote tutoring that’s supportive, motivating, and results-driven. I work with students of all ages and abilities who want to improve their understanding, boost performance, and learn skills that actually carry into the real world.

My approach to tutoring combines clear academic instruction with coaching-based support. I use a calm, structured teaching style that focuses on breaking topics down into simple, manageable steps, helping students build confidence as well as knowledge. My sessions are interactive and goal-focused — I ask questions, encourage critical thinking, and guide students to understand the ‘why’ behind the work rather than just memorising information. A typical lesson lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the student’s preference and learning needs. Every session ends with a quick recap and a clear takeaway so students know exactly what progress they’ve made and what to focus on next. I hold a degree in Business Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring, which allows me to combine practical academic support with professional coaching techniques. This lets me help students improve not just their grades, but also their motivation, study habits, and self-confidence. I have worked with learners of all abilities and tailor every lesson to their personal goals, pace, and preferred learning style. My lessons are delivered remotely, making them accessible for students of all ages and levels — whether they need support with schoolwork, help preparing for exams, or guidance on organisation, mindset, and academic development.
