About Veda

I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MPhil in Chemistry. My teaching embraces a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, especially in the chemistry of art and cultural heritage preservation. I focus on areas like pigment analysis, material degradation, and conservation treatments—showing how chemistry plays a vital role in protecting priceless works of art. I use historical art pieces as case studies, helping students understand both the science and history behind them. Through chemical analysis techniques, we explore how materials change over time and how restorers decide the best ways to conserve them. Ethical considerations in restoration are always a key part of my lessons, encouraging thoughtful discussion about preserving authenticity. I’ve worked with art history students, conservationists, and anyone fascinated by the science that supports art preservation. My goal is to build strong foundational knowledge while connecting chemistry to real-world challenges in cultural heritage. It’s deeply rewarding to help students see how chemistry protects and reveals our shared human creativity. Together, we explore how science can safeguard history for future generations.

My teaching approach centres on practical applications and strong problem-solving skills. I focus on key areas such as acid-base chemistry, pH calculations, titration, and buffer solutions to help students build a clear understanding of chemical equilibrium. Lessons are designed to connect theory with real-world examples, making the concepts easier to grasp. I work closely with students who are researchers or preparing for chemistry olympiads, supporting them to deepen their knowledge and excel in complex topics. We break down challenging problems step-by-step, focusing on accuracy and methodical thinking. You’ll gain confidence in performing chemical calculations and interpreting results. I encourage active participation and welcome questions at every stage. My goal is to make sure each student not only understands the material but can apply it effectively in exams and lab work. Together, we’ll develop skills that lead to success and a lasting appreciation for chemistry.
