About Wesley
I’m a French tutor with 7 years of experience and a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature, with a focus on Francophone cultures. I love working with complete beginners, especially those who are learning French for personal enjoyment. My approach is patient, lighthearted, and filled with humor to ease the fear of making mistakes. Many of my students come to me because they want to speak French while doing the things they love—whether it’s knitting, gardening, painting, or just chatting about daily life. I use project-based learning that brings French into your favorite hobbies. You might label tools in French, follow a simple gardening blog, or write about your creative projects in a short, structured paragraph. I rely on visual aids, everyday vocabulary, and mini stories to make grammar feel natural and vocabulary easy to remember. Together, we create a space where French feels familiar and joyful. My students often say they feel more confident expressing themselves because they’re talking about what they love. I’ve helped hobbyists share their passions in French—both online and in person—with new ease and enthusiasm. My teaching approach blends language learning with creativity, making French feel exciting and stylish. I specialize in helping students explore fashion design vocabulary, describe current trends, and talk about clothing and personal style with confidence. Whether you're interested in haute couture, streetwear, or sustainable fashion, we’ll learn the French words and expressions you need to express your ideas clearly and beautifully.
Lessons are filled with fun, interactive activities—like analyzing fashion magazines, describing outfits, or discussing French fashion houses. I use visual materials, real-world examples, and role-play scenarios so students can speak naturally and with ease. My goal is to make French feel joyful, expressive, and completely relevant to your interests.
I'm especially skilled at working with Conversationalists and Immigrants/Newcomers. I create a warm space where students feel safe to speak, make mistakes, and grow. You’ll practice using everyday fashion language while building strong grammar and pronunciation skills.
Together, we’ll turn fashion talk into real French fluency. Learning will feel fresh, chic, and inspiring—just like your style.
