About Miguel
For me, swimming is more than a sport; it is my true passion and way of life. My greatest joy is sharing this love for the water with others, helping them overcome their fears and discover their own potential. As a former professional swimmer with over 5 years of active coaching experience, I fully dedicate myself to every lesson so that my students feel safe and inspired. Originally from Ecuador and now based in New York, I have a strong commitment to service and safety, supported by my current American Red Cross certification in CPR and First Aid for adults and children. I believe swimming is a life-saving skill that everyone should enjoy, and it would be an honor for me to guide you or your loved ones on this beautiful journey in the water.

I am a professional swimmer and certified lifeguard with over 10 years of experience providing personalized swim lessons for children, teens, and adults of all levels.
My approach focuses on safety, confidence, and technical improvement in the water. I specialize in helping beginners and individuals overcome fear of water, while also working with swimmers who want to refine their technique or improve performance.
Each lesson is fully customized, from basic skills like floating and breathing to advanced stroke development and training.
I offer lessons in both English and Spanish, creating a safe, patient, and professional learning environment for every student.
My goal is not only to teach swimming, but to help each student build confidence and truly enjoy the water.
