About Jake
I’m a musician and creative teacher with a strong passion for helping people connect with music in a real and meaningful way!
My background comes from years of playing guitar, writing music, collaborating with other musicians, and exploring music theory through practical, creative application rather than rigid academic learning.
Alongside my own musical development, I’ve worked in educational and workshop settings supporting children, parents, and developing musicians through creative music-making and expressive playing. That experience taught me how important patience, adaptability, and encouragement are when helping someone grow musically.
I’m especially interested in improvisation, songwriting, confidence-building, and helping people understand the “language” behind music so they can jam, create, and express themselves more naturally.
I have taught guitar for 13 years and counting!

I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where you can grow naturally without feeling overwhelmed or boxed in by rigid teaching methods.
If there’s ever something I don’t know, I’ll be honest and we’ll learn it together. Music is something deeply meaningful to me, and being able to share that understanding is a genuine pleasure.
