About Jessica
I am an aspiring sociology student who is going into the University of Warwick to study sociology. My goal is not only to help students improve their overall grades, but also to impart my own passion for the subject, hoping to encourage students to develop critical thinking skills that can only be enhanced through sociological perspectives. I am dedicated to tailoring each lesson to each student's individual learning style and goals, whether that's through visual learning and mind maps, or timing practice with essays. I focus on creating a creative and supportive learning environment built on trust, encouraging students to feel comfortable enough to ask questions, voice opinions and gain confidence. I take academic integrity earnestly and strive to maintain respectful, supportive and encouraging relationships with every student I work with.

I offer online lessons for GCSE and A Level students. I have been a mentor for year 10s, 11s and 12s sitting sociology, guiding them throughout lessons, breaking down exam questions and teaching pupils how to successfully structure a response. I help students by equipping them with contemporary examples of sociological theories which can strengthen their AO2, as well as teaching them how to apply theory to questions, encouraging them to write their own responses and marking them with detailed feedback. Lessons can last for around an hour, or more if the individual needs extra support!
