About Kristie
My name is Kristie, I am an international student from Taipei, Taiwan studying psychology at Davidson College in Charlotte, North Carolina.
At Davidson, I have 2 years of experience being an Apprentice Teacher for the Chinese Department (Chinese 101 and 102), where I work with professors in developing lesson plans and hold after school practice sessions. I also work as a Chinese tutor in the library, where I gain experience working with all levels of Chinese students. This means that I have experience teaching along with a curriculum, as well as drilling practices. As a college student, I hope I can connect with other young people and help them gain interest in Chinese!

Specialized experience with teaching elementary Chinese to college students (Chinese 101 and 102); tutoring experience with higher level Chinese (200, 300+).
My lesson plans derive from Claudia Ross and Baozhang He's Modern Mandarin Chinese, The Routledge Course textbook series, along with drilling PowerPoints created by Davidson Chinese professors. Because I have experience teaching a college-level language course, I have experience with teaching all four skills of reading, speaking, writing, and listening.
I am especially specialized with accent training from teaching beginner / foundational Chinese in college.
