About Charotay

I work with advanced learners, hobbyists, and those self-taught players who feel stuck in a loop. We focus on electric technique and the mechanics of fingerpicking to clean up your sound. You will read sheet music with ease once the patterns click. Why keep guessing at your technique when you could simply understand it?

Folk clubs smell like stale beer and old wood. I spent 11 years hauling gear through the Montreal scene before realizing I preferred the classroom to the stage. My Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and BM Guitar degree provided the structure I lacked as a youth. I have since helped 207 students move past their own plateaus.
