About Sharon
Born in Louisiana in 1959, I spent most of my childhood in Puerto Rico, attending public school on the island. I have been teaching since 1976 in one capacity or another usually related to languages. I love what I do, and watching a student "get it" is very rewarding!

Learn Spanish in your free time. We will discuss your needs and create a learning plan to help you achieve your goals. I prefer learner-led instruction where we work on the concepts necessary for you to communicate with speakers of Spanish. We will use a PowerPoint to save your work, you will receive a copy after each class. You can create a list of what you need to learn and we will work from that list. Today is a good day to learn something new.

Dr. Shappley is an excellent Spanish teacher. She tailors lessons before hand, and because of my background with Spanish we are able to keep things light and have normal conversations to work on my inflections and conjugations during every day speaking. She's awesome!
