About Ruth Jane

Hi! I understand that choosing a tutor, especially for a new skill, requires trust and confidence. I want you to feel comfortable and assured that you're investing your time and money in a worthwhile learning experience.

I have hands-on professional experience in sewing, quilting, and embroidery, including working with sewing and quilting machines and creating handmade products. These are skills I've developed through actual work and practice, and I'm happy to share my knowledge with someone who wants to learn.

My lessons are designed for beginners, so you don't need any prior experience. I'll guide you step by step, from understanding how to operate a sewing machine and practicing straight lines to applying those skills to your own project. I'll also make sure there's time for questions and practice, because learning to sew takes patience and hands-on experience.

Although my lessons are home-based, I take my work and teaching responsibilities seriously. I'm happy to discuss the lesson coverage, schedule, fee, and materials beforehand so everything is clear and you know what to expect before booking.

My goal isn't just to help you finish a pouch; it's to help you understand the basics, build your confidence, and develop skills you can continue practicing even after our lesson.

Thank you for considering me as your tutor. I would love to help you get started on your sewing journey!

About the lesson

1.Beginner friendly lessons - No previous sewing experience is needed. Start from the basics, even if you've never used a sewing machine before.

2.Learn at your own pace — No pressure to get everything right on the first try.

3.Hands on guidance — Learn how to operate a sewing machine, sew straight lines, and practice basic sewing techniques.

4.Practical skills — Apply what you learn by making your own pouch.

5.Personalized attention — Get guidance, ask questions, and learn from your mistakes in a supportive environment.

6.Learn from real experience — Learn from someone who actively sews and creates handmade products.

7.A skill that opens possibilities — Whether sewing is a new hobby, a creative outlet, or the beginning of a small business, every journey starts with the basics.
