About Ariel
Hi!! My name is Ariel! I taught ESL to high school students in all subject areas for over 20 years in the New York City public school system. Over the years, I developed expertise in both traditional and alternative approaches to second language development and learning. In 2011 I helped open a high school for 100% English language learners in New York City where I was the instructional coordinator and senior ELA teacher.
I speak Spanish and love to travel. I am very friendly, kind and enjoy working with students who are still learning English. I understand the challenges with learning a new language and living in a new environment and am happy to help in any way I can :)
