About Harshitha
I’m a second-year medical student with a strong academic foundation, having achieved high grades in A-Level Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. My passion for teaching began early, and I’ve since gained experience tutoring both privately and with an established tutoring company. I specialise in preparing students for the 11+, GCSE, and A-Level exams, offering subject expertise in Biology and Psychology—as well as general academic mentoring and exam technique. My approach combines deep subject knowledge with clear, tailored explanations to help students gain confidence, master concepts, and excel academically. In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a personalised and engaging learning experience tailored to each student's unique needs and goals. I emphasise building a strong foundation of understanding, using a combination of interactive discussions, practical examples, and problem-solving exercises to reinforce key concepts. My teaching methodology is student-centred, encouraging active participation and critical thinking to ensure that students not only learn the material but also develop the confidence to apply it independently. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, providing ample time to cover material thoroughly while maintaining a structured yet flexible pace that allows for questions and deeper exploration of challenging topics. I take great care in preparing materials for each lesson, tailoring them to suit the individual learning style of the child—whether they are visual, auditory, or hands-on learners. Before each session, I assess the student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then create a structured plan that includes a mix of resources. My lessons are designed to be adaptable, allowing me to adjust the pace as needed, ensuring the student fully grasps each concept before moving on. This flexible approach allows me to cover the necessary content thoroughly while keeping the lessons engaging and aligned with the student’s learning preferences. I have completed A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, which has given me a strong academic foundation in these subjects. Additionally, I have hands-on experience as a tutor, having worked both independently with students and through school tutoring programmes. This has allowed me to develop a range of teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles and academic needs. My background in these subjects, combined with my tutoring experience, ensures that I can effectively support students in their studies and help them achieve their academic goals. I teach at 11+, GCSE and A Level standards.

Perfect! Harshitha's lessons are very enjoyable! She breaks down difficult, complex concepts in Biology to something much more understandable. Previously, I had been struggling with Biology a lot, however once I started lessons with Harshitha, the subject has become much more fun and exciting! I highly recommend! 10/10 amazing tutor!
