About Benjamin
The American visual artist Benjamin King holds an MFA from the University of Chicago and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His exhibitions include Freight & Volume, Spring Break Art Show, Mark Borghi, White Columns, Laroche/Joncas, and many others. King’s work has appeared in ARTnews, Modern Painters, Mousse, The Huffington Post, Hyperallergic, and Bomb. In 2021, literary critic, Terry Castle, wrote celebrating his work. King is a fellow of the Edward F. Albee Foundation. and his curatorial work was recognized in 2010 by the MIT Press publication titled Alternative Histories.

We should work together if you are interested in activating creative thinking in your life and becoming more accepting of your own unique radical self. We can do productive work together if you are ready to explore balance and particularly the feelings of being out of balance. Whether I teach you how to draw, how to skateboard, how to climb or how to meditate we will focus on the mind body connection and create a practice together that you can use to explore the edges of equilibrium in art, in the body and in your perception of things in your life. Creative thinking is connected to a curiosity for self knowledge. Through practicing art, breath work and other forms of conscious play I can help guide you to a more actualized version of yourself.
