About Amethyst
I have a BS in computer science and an MSc in bioinformatics. I have worked as a research analyst and data analyst, and I use Python every day! Prior to this, I spent 8 years teaching maths and science to young learners in Vietnam, so I have spent a lot of time explaining technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way. I'm located in Birmingham, so would love to take students at any of the nearby unis or online.

I provide 1-hour tutoring sessions in Python to: - help you get a basic knowledge of the language - work through problems together - assist you with coursework or test prep as needed. Previously, I worked as a teacher in Vietnam, so I'm great at explaining concepts in a simple way. I have a BS in computer science and an MSc in bioinformatics, and I have used Python in a variety of analysis roles in my 5-year tech career. These lessons would suit anyone preparing for a test, uni students who need a basic grasp of coding, or anyone struggling with their coursework.
