About Sean
I am a Computer Science graduate from the University of Kent with professional experience in the technology industry. I currently work in software and mobile games, where I use data, technology, and problem-solving skills to help build successful digital products.
I have always enjoyed helping others understand technology and develop their skills. My aim is to make computer science approachable, enjoyable, and practical, whether you are taking your first steps into programming or looking to improve your existing knowledge.
I believe that anyone can learn to code with the right guidance and support. I focus on creating a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence.
Outside of my professional experience, I have a strong passion for technology, programming, and continuous learning. I bring both academic knowledge and real-world industry experience to help students develop skills that will benefit them in their studies and future careers.

I take a practical, supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on helping students understand the fundamentals rather than simply memorising solutions. I adapt each lesson to the student's goals, current ability, and learning style, using clear explanations, worked examples, exercises, and hands-on programming tasks to build confidence.
My teaching style is based around breaking complex computer science concepts into smaller, manageable steps. For programming, I encourage students to write code themselves, learn how to debug problems, and develop problem-solving skills that they can apply independently.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although I can adapt the structure depending on the student's needs and goals.
I have a degree in Computer Science from the University of Kent and professional experience working in the software and mobile games industry. In my career, I have worked with technology, data, analytics, and software development teams to build and improve digital products, giving me valuable insight into how computer science skills are applied in real-world careers.
My lessons are suitable for beginners learning their first programming language, GCSE Computer Science students, and anyone interested in learning Python, SQL, or software development fundamentals.
