About David
As someone who is self-taught, who has landed a software engineer position in today's tough market, I know how frustrating it can be at times to grow in this space and expect results.
I am eager to help others in this journey and I am someone who has a high passion for teaching and coding. Just like when solving problems in coding, the most important thing is understanding the problem itself before implementing. Likewise in teaching I believe it is very important to understand you the student first before teaching in order to provide the best learning experience and for both of us to know exactly what we desire as an outcome in our time of tutoring.

I usually like to present a problem/question that applies to a real world scenario. This is so you can feel the value of what we will learn and understand where you'd want to apply it. (e.g If I wanted to teach you architecture, I would present you poorly modularised code vs properly architected code)
Then I like to share my screen and draw out and explain the concept and collaborate the most, questioning understanding until you fully get it.
Then we go more specific into the concept by going to the code. Many examples would be given.
Then it switches and I allow you to share screen your code and we pair program together, allowing you to implement everything you've learnt.
The typical length would be 1 hour to an hour and a half and my lessons would be for those in highschool who are taking Software Design and Development style subjects and also for Uni students who need help with introductory application development subjects.
