About Kelly

I’m Kelly Buchanan, a professional photographer, educator, and creative with 15 years of experience behind the camera and in the photography industry.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph clients around the world, rebuild my business multiple times, teach photographers at conferences and industry events, and work alongside some of the biggest brands in the photography industry.
My passion, however, goes beyond creating beautiful images — I love helping other photographers understand the “why” behind the image.
I specialize in creative lighting, off-camera flash, posing, maternity, and creative portraits, alongside specializing in newborns and building a profitable photography business. My teaching style is hands-on, straightforward, and designed to help you actually apply what you learn.

About the lesson

Master Your Camera. Master Your Craft.
Ready to stop guessing and start creating with confidence? This hands-on photography class is designed to help you understand your camera, master lighting, improve your posing, and create images with intention.
With 15 years of real-world photography experience, I’ll break down the techniques that actually work and show you how to apply them during a real shoot. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your photography to the next level, you’ll leave with practical skills, new creative ideas, and the confidence to create images you’re proud of.
Learn the settings. Understand the light. Find your style. Create with confidence.
